An answer without context can look confident while being impossible to trust. That is a dangerous interaction pattern, especially when AI is involved.
Show the path, not just the result
I think the strongest AI tools help people inspect the path:
- where the information came from
- what assumptions were made
- where uncertainty remains
A note on expertise
The goal is not to make every user an expert. It is to give people enough context to decide when an answer deserves confidence.
